Somali Community Leader Mr. Farah Warsame receives an acknowledgement Letter from the Victorian Department of Health & Human Services

Somali Community Inc. President Mr Farah Warsame received an acknowledgment letter from the Department of Health and Human Services today acknowledging the hard work Mr. Warsame showed and put into his community. The Department thanked Mr. Warsame for working closely with organisations and government agencies in supporting the 3000 residents placed under hard lockdowns in Flemington & North Melbourne in early July.

From door knocking to advocating for community, Mr Warsame sacrificed his health and well-being to support his community. His commitment and dedication over the last few months on coronavirus restrictions has been extraordinary. We would like to congratulate him on his achievements and thank him for his service.
