What Is The Homework Club

Homework club is the Homework Club that provides a safe, inclusive, and culturally acceptable place for primary school kids to interact and participate in academic enrichment activities. The Mission of the club is to act as the bridge the Somali community can use as a path way to reach out to opportunities. The club’s motto is “Together We Can Do It!”. Also, the club aims to provide a secure and encouraging setting in which kids can flourish intellectually and achieve their full potential. The club believes in the art of making things happen however challenging it is. We ‘dream’ to the betterment of the Somali Australian community and we just begin it

SPORTS AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

SPORTS PARTICIPATION IN SCHOOLS HAS ALWAYS BEEN WELL BELOW THE EXPECTED STANDARDS. THE CURRENT PANDEMIC MADE IT EVEN WORSE FOR SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY FORM OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES.
For younger children, sports are often a way to socialize and build upon essential skills outside classroom. When school and other social interactions have been taken away, not having sports can cause a child to feel isolated.
