A Mother Finding Support and Connection

After recently arriving in Australia, a mother faced significant challenges adjusting to a new environment. She experienced isolation and found it difficult to understand available services and systems.

By joining our women’s support group, she found a safe and welcoming space where she could connect with others, share experiences, and learn about the support available to her. Through these connections, she gained confidence, built strong friendships, and became more engaged in the community.

Elderly Community Member Reconnecting

Supporting Students into Placements

A group of university and TAFE students were required to complete placement hours as part of their studies but were struggling to find suitable opportunities.

Our organisation provided placement opportunities within our programs, allowing them to complete their required hours in a supportive, community-based environment. During their placements, they gained hands-on experience by assisting with tutoring, supporting activities, and contributing to program delivery.

As a result, they successfully completed their studies and developed practical skills that strengthened their career pathways.

Tackling Homelessness and Poverty

Several young graduates faced challenges finding employment in their chosen fields, including those who had completed teaching degrees but were unable to secure work.

They joined our organisation as volunteers, supporting students through tutoring and participating in educational programs. Over time, they gained valuable experience, built confidence, and developed practical skills.

Many of them have since secured employment in their respective fields, including teaching and other professional roles.
